Stand Against Racism Viewing of 13th
Nomad Theater

The YWCA Boulder County, is a hosting a community event to view the documentary, 13th, followed by a facilitated discussion with experts in our community working on this important social justice and equity issue. 

13th is a 2016 American documentary by director, Ava DuVernay. 

The film explores the "intersection of race, justice, and mass incarceration in the United States; "it is titled after the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States consittuation, whcih freed the slaves and prohibitied slavery, with the exception fo slavery as punishment for a crime. 

The YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism and empower women.  Stand Against Racism week is a national campaign focused on bringing communities together to address, acknowledge and find solutions to creating a more open, safe and equitable country for everyone.
